Established in 2007, The Jacky Winter Group is a creative production and representation studio with offices in Melbourne, New York and London.

Representing over a hundred commercial artists working across a diverse range of specialised branches and partnerships, we solicit and produce thousands of creative briefs a year, ranging from illustration and activations to animation and special projects, catering primarily to advertising agencies, brands, publishers, and design studios.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with a strong eye for social content, visual storytelling and simple content production.

This is primarily a graphic design role, but we’re looking for someone who is also comfortable capturing and creating content. You might spend one day designing a carousel or campaign toolkit, and the next filming behind-the-scenes moments in our studio or editing a short project recap.

You’ll primarily support Jacky Winter, while occasionally contributing to ventures including Solid Lines, Gildlings, Capital Virtues, Jacky Winter Gallery and The Play Group.

We’re looking for someone who cares about the small details that turn straightforward content into something polished and distinctive. You should also understand what makes social content feel engaging, immediate and appropriate for the platform.

If you’re a designer looking for a stable, ongoing freelance partnership within a creative and artist-led environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

This is an ongoing freelance role that we estimate will require around 25–30 hours per week across 3–4 days. Approximately half of this time will need to be spent onsite at our Collingwood studio.

Most of your time will be spent designing social content, campaign assets, presentations, newsletters and other digital materials. The content-production side of the role will involve capturing authentic moments as they happen, shooting simple photo and video content, and completing straightforward edits for social media.

We already have brand guidelines, planning calendars, recurring content formats and pre-production processes in place. Your role will be to work confidently within this framework, bringing creativity, initiative and excellent visual execution to each creative asset.
